Quite frustrating but rather comical. Finally decided screw it! I'm not waiting a week and then..nothing. I figured since it was only a month past expiry it'd do the trick and I'm pretty sure I remember how to properly pee on a stick..LOL
I'll try again in the morning *fingers crossed*

I got a faint positive on the 8th, tested again this morning and got a BFN :(
Still no AF though..something is amiss. I'll retest on Monday.
Am I? Aren't I? Chemical pregnancy? Too early for accurate results? If I am I should have more than enough hcg in my system by now. Argh :( I really wish I could just know for certain, either way.

You have just under a week before you know, mommy2-2? I hope your answer is more definitive than mine..looking forward to seeing a BFP from you soon.

Still don't know for certain. Got another negative with a different brand than my first couple tests :( ....no flow though.

Advice and/or personal experiences please;
Have you had false negatives?
How about a positive followed by a negative(s)? Led to a babe or ended in a chemical pregnancy?
At what point did you head to the doc with an iffy pregnancy?
Have you ever have excruciating cramps in early pregnancy?

The positive test, albeit was a faint one was still positive; it has color, definitely not an evap line. Then taking a second test just to see a negative was very saddening. I shouldn't have taken a second test after getting the faint positive, I don't know why I didn't believe the first one. I've sort of lost confidence in my body and I'm too chicken s--- to keep testing. I'm hoping it was just false negatives but these last couple days I've had bouts of severe cramps (double me over in pain, much worse than AF cramps) and feel absolutely miserable. Good news is no blood! If I don't bleed soon then I can celebrate that there's probably a lil bean in there and schedule a midwife appointment but between the negatives and these horrid pains I'm not getting excited yet. I feel sad and impatient about it...Hurry up and be a baby or hurry up and get out of my body.

What would you do or what did you do in a similar situation? DH thinks I should head to the doc right away, I think I should just wait and see what is going to happen.

I would have bought a test which is sensitive enough ( as of 25 U) and preferably a digital one, like from ClearBlue, the one which says "you are 3 weeks pregnant".

Strwbrry,
Hope you're feeling better and that things are improving. You asked what we would do...well, I'm a crazy impatient person and not knowing kills me.
I'd probably go to the doc and get a blood draw, then repeat it 48 hours later. If it's increasing at a steady rate, things are lookin' fine. If not, or if numbers are negative or going down, you also have an answer.
I had bleeding and cramping for a week with DS and patience was NOT my strong point...but the bloodwork was reassuring and an early ultrasound due to bleeding looked good...and here he is 2 years later wreaking havoc.
Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

And....

It's official..

We'll be adding a third to our family this November!!!!

Went for a blood test and my levels are a tad lower than what they "should be" for 6 weeks; was told its nothing to worry about, that I probably just ovulated later this month and/or eggy took a bit longer implanting hence solid results later than typically expected. Booked the 8 week check with my midwife :)

It seems somewhat surreal...we're so excited! Woooohooooo!
