Name or Screenname/Age: 2Princesses/34 (but turning 35 in 2 weeks !)

Current Situation (H? Kids and ages?): Married to my college sweetheart for 8 1/2 years now (together for 16 years though). 2 girls - DD1 will be 5 in May and is in preschool. DD2 is 2 1/2 and also in preschool.

Do you work or stay home? If you work, what do you? I work part-time doing marketing for a college - my hours are 8:30-2:30 and I love it!

Do you have a third? Want a third? On the fence? Leaning towards having a third when DD2 turns 4 - or sooner if things look up financially!

What is your biggest fear about a third? (or if you have one, what's a con?): The finances. I was laid off from a job and it took over a year to find this one, so I'm still gunshy and our finances took a hit. I'm afraid of another job-loss or big financial hurdle, but I also don't want to let that stand in the way of our family.

What is your biggest hope about a third (or if you have one, what's the best part?): My family brings me so much joy, and I think my girls would be awesome big sisters! Also would love to have a boy for DH.

Plans for the summer? Spend lots of time at the family beach house (owned by MIL) which is a couple hours away. I have a crazy childcare schedule worked out with a teeange babysitter, family and the daycare. Its a hodgepodge so I'm hoping it all goes smoothly!

What do you like to do with your family? We have a membership to the children's museum and the zoo so we like to do those things, do things with other family members/the cousins, go out to eat, watch movies and play games. In the summer, we belong to a swim club and try to go a few times a week which is fun.

What do you like to do with free time? I love to read, watch bad reality tv, go to movies with my "movie friend", go out to eat and shop.

Favorite easy weeknight dinner? I am not much of a cook. My girls love spagetti which is easy enough with jarred sauce and pre-made turkey meatballs. Whenever I try to cook something more elaborate, no one wants to eat it, so I don't bother with that much. I do spagetti, tacos, chicken, pork chops with shake and bake, etc. most nights. I'm not above a frozen pizza either!

Fun idea!

Name or Screenname/Age:
Walkbyfaith, age 39

Current Situation (H? Kids and ages?):
married for 17 years to dh, 40 + 3 daughters (9, 7.5, almost 5)

Do you work or stay home? If you work, what do you?
I've stayed home since we brought dd1 home. Last fall I started back to school for a degree in music, which will be a total career change for me. In my past life, I worked in business/information systems.

Do you have a third? Want a third? On the fence?
I was never on the fence about a third, but dh and I have wavered back and forth about a 4th. I believe we are done, though.

What is your biggest fear about a third? (or if you have one, what's a con?):
I don't really think there is a con to having my third, but there are definitely challenges. There is a ton more laundry, and the expenses when three are in activities are through the roof. I am happy that I only have two more preschool payments. Next year dd3 will start kindergarten. I'm really excited to move on from the toddler/preschooler years because they weren't my favorite.

What is your biggest hope about a third (or if you have one, what's the best part?):
The best part is watching the relationship between my three, especially now that dd3 is getting older. They all get along really well. Also, I like that the three of them can entertain each other. Believe it or not, I get a lot of downtime because the three of them are always off playing. The house is noisy, though!!

Plans for the summer?
I love hanging out with my kids over the summer. Mostly we just hang out at home. In the afternoon, I hook up one of those plastic slip-n-slides that hooks to the hose. We always buy a triple one, so they can all three play on it. We also have a swing set but usually in the summer it's too hot to play on. We also love just finding things to do...the zoo, amusement parks, the beach..oh, I LOVE the beach! We have our favorite beach that we always visit as a family.

What do you like to do with your family?
Our favorite things lately are bowling and going to the movies. I love now that all three girls are old enough to bowl. We also love going for walks, to the playground, playing outside, shopping, amusement parks.

What do you like to do with free time?
I love to read, and also I am a member of several different community choirs, that I love. They are truly my social outlet. DH does bedtime on those nights.

Favorite easy weeknight dinner?
Well, we always have a McDonald's night once a week. We also always have a quick night of either sandwiches, eggs, or frozen pizza. Those take care of the nights that the girls have gymnastics. The rest of the nights I cook...usually something involving chicken or ground turkey. We like spaghetti, tacos, chicken casseroles, meatloaf, pot pie.

Let's get to know each other with a poll:

Wyowyome, age 33

Married 10+ years! Boys aged 8 & 6, Baby girl aged 4mos

I work part time as an ER nurse. I teach Sunday School when I can. I work Full Time as CEO & housekeeper of our home.

Our 3rd came after YEARS of wavering. I will never regret going for it. #3 has been much easier for us to adjust to than #1 or #2 was. We are just much more confident parents.

My biggest fear about having a 3rd was "messing up" our family dynamic and/or taking too much away from the boys. While she does take up a lot of my time, the boys are so independent, they don't really notice. And, they love her <3 DH and I take turns spending 1:1 time with each of them. Today, I'm picking up my 6yr old from school for lunch at an Asian Buffet he loves. I will bring baby, because he wants me to!

The best part of having 3 really is not having to wonder if we should have 3 anymore(: She is super cuddly, funny. She makes us laugh and reminds me every day how I can't take one moment of this time for granted, with any of my family members. It really does go by waaay to fast. She is making all of us better people: patience, thankfulness, kindness, playfulness, etc...

We live for summer! We camp, boat, fish, BBQ. We can't wait for the campfire stories, the tubing/swimming fun, the toad-catching, mud-fights, etc!

We like to do our summer stuff. We like to travel with them to see relatives, and a year and 1/2 ago, we took the boys to JAMAICA! We are saving again to do another carribean all-inclusive before baby turns 2 and can't fly free (: It takes a lot of saving, and costs a lot of $$$, but the memories are just absolutely priceless! In the winter, we go swimming at our indoor rec center pool, an occasional movie or bowling day.

Free time? WTH is that? Like when I clip my toenails or read a magazine while I pee? LOL! I go to work in the ER when I need a day OFF and some "me" time!

Oh how I hate dinner. Too much time spent thinking of what to make, defrosting what I need... seems like waaay to much work most days. We eat too much pizza- some "homeade" on a store-bought crust with a jar of sauce..., most take n bake. In a pinch, I will put cheese inside 2 softshells and fry it on both sides to make a "quesedilla". We also have grilled cheese & soup, spaghetti, tacos, roast, steak on fancy nights! DH & I come from MT ranches, so we eat too much beef (: We also have pork from relatives in MN, so we just eat too much meat in general!
Let's get to know each other with a poll:

Great idea! Here goes....

Name or Screenname/Age: Louise/somerlouise, 39 in a few short weeks

Current Situation (H? Kids and ages?): I have a son, 6 1/2, another son 3 and a daughter 1.

Do you work or stay home? If you work, what do you? Stay at home mum, was made redundant while on maternity leave with my youngest, was working part time. My DH works on an oil rig and is home for 4 weeks and gone for 3.

Do you have a third? Want a third? On the fence? Have a third, now really desperate for a fourth!

What is your biggest fear about a third? (or if you have one, what's a con?):
I didn't really have a fear, just that it might not happen.

What is your biggest hope about a third (or if you have one, what's the best part?):
The best part is seeing my three play and interact together. And the love I get for them.

Plans for the summer? We leave in a seaside town, so lots of time at the beach (free and easy to do)

What do you like to do with your family?
We are serious walkers, usually do 10-14 miles of walking on the weekends. Nice chance to catch up with the kids and find out what is going on with them.

What do you like to do with free time?
What is that???!! When the kiddies are asleep I love to read.

Favorite easy weeknight dinner?
Chicken curry with rice or spaghetti bolognese.

Current situation?
-Hubby & I are going on 6 years. We have two daughters, ages 4 and almost 3.

Do you work or stay home? If you work, what do you?
-SAHM

Do you have a third? Want a third? On the fence?
-I was on the fence about the timing of adding a third but we're now going for it!

What is your biggest fear about a third? (or if you have one, what's a con?):
-that there may be something wrong with her/him, we've already been blessed with two happy, healthy ones...worried about pushing my luck.

What is your biggest hope about a third (or if you have one, what's the best part?):
-that it'll be another girl :) It'll be exciting to see my girls with a baby sibling and I hope that our family dynamics stay balanced.

Plans for the summer?
- lots of fun at the playgrounds and beaches!

What do you like to do with your family?
- any activity! From just snuggling up and reading a book to walking to rock climbing (tried a climbing wall last week, it was a blast! Big girl totally kicked butt, she made it all the way to the top! My little one made it about six feet up and then pushed off and went "weeee! I like to swing the best mommy!"...so she basically just hung and swung the whole time lol)

What do you like to do with free time?
- garden, knit, crochet, read, cook, yoga, hike

Favorite easy weeknight dinner?
- put something in the crock pot in the am. Beef stews usually but you can cook almost anything in them..They're a lifesaver on days when we have many activities going on.

Do you work or stay home? If you work, what do you? SAHM

Do you have a third? Want a third? On the fence? We always knew we wanted 3

What is your biggest fear about a third? (or if you have one, what's a con?): Honestly, I'm struggling for a con. It is great. I love having 3. It means less time for myself, but I know it is only for a season.

What is your biggest hope about a third (or if you have one, what's the best part?): Best part is all the laughter, fun, love in our home. I love the dynamics though it can be quite loud!

Plans for the summer? Be able to go to the park more, which our kids love. picking fresh fruit at local farms, spending time with extended family at the lakehouse.

What is your biggest fear about a third? (or if you have one, what's a con?): Biggest fear...hmmm...tons of them, but the biggest is that I'll completely lose my mind and have no patience for any of them.

What is your biggest hope about a third (or if you have one, what's the best part?): I would love to see the dynamics of our own little "pack", and give the kids another sibling to grow up with, especially since we got started late and won't be there to support them in some life events the way younger parents might...they'll hopefully have eachother to lean on.

Plans for the summer? Maybe a week at the beach. Mainly just relaxing day to day and trying to find things to keep busy. (all while hiding from bees, wasps, horse flies, etc...I'm terrified of the darn things!)

What do you like to do with your family? We just went to our first movie as a family this weekend (Lorax) and it was a blast! We love to go to the beach or an aquarium and watch the kids' faces light up at learning or seeing something new.

What do you like to do with free time? Not too much free time...I'll second PP re: having a cup of coffee ALONE! I love a bath, but I've been working to update my bathroom for months on my own, and so the bath is full of paint cans, sand paper, buckets of joint compound...maybe some day!

Favorite easy weeknight dinner?
Anything via crockpot! Chicken tenders "breaded" with those crushed Frenchs fried onion thingys and broccolli with cheese.
Let's get to know each other with a poll:

Name or Screenname/Age: nata/ 36 y.o. (will turn 37 in the end of the March)

Current Situation (H? Kids and ages?): married for 9 years..DS1 8 y.o., DS2 5 y.o., DD 7 months.

Do you work or stay home? If you work, what do you? I work PT (4 days a week) as a physician in the biotech company.

Do you have a third? Want a third? On the fence? Have a third. Have been on the fence for about 3 years.

What is your biggest fear about a third? (or if you have one, what's a con?): Less time for myself and DH...And less time for my work. I want to change the company I work for, but don't dare to do it with the baby..

What is your biggest hope about a third (or if you have one, what's the best part?): I don't know what is the best part. She is just part of out family, as if she always has been there. She is the sweetest thing. THe boys love her to pieces. I was afraid DS2 will be jealous etc, he is someone who has been always very much attafhed to me and we treated him (too long, I know!) as a baby...So having DD turned out to be very good for him.

Plans for the summer? difficult plans (children have 6 weeks free , me and DH can take only 2-3 weeks off) involving children staying 3 weeks at my parents summer house, me and DH joining them in the end of the summer. Also we planned one week of beach vacation in the end of May this year (abroad) - we live in the country where you never know if the summer is going to be warm or not, so want to make sure the kids get at least one week of real sea, sun and warmth:)

What do you like to do with your family? walking, cycling, playgrounds, museums, aquarium, zoo, attraction parcs, visitng friends. DH plays football with the boys every weekend adn just does all kind of sport activities with them. We also love swimming.

What do you like to do with free time? Honestly, I don't have free time right now. By the time all 3 are in bed, I collapse in the living room, just watch some TV with a cup of tea and a chocolate bar and discuss with DH how did the day go and what are our plans for the weekend etc..I love reading, gardening..can't wait the weather gets better and we can sit outside in the evenings in our garden with a glas of wine and enjoy the smell of the summer evenings (while the kids are already sleeping :). I also like playing the piano, but am not doing it..want to pick up this hobby. I hope that in 1-2 years from now I will hive ENERGY to make some free time for myself. Right now even takign a bath seems like an effort..so i just shower :))

Favorite easy weeknight dinner? I think chicken. I make it with garlic and lemon, and put in into the oven . BBQ in the summer.
DH cooks often, hm, almost always actually. We try to cook easy, but at the same time something more or less healthy. Usually just something simple as pasta or rice with a piece of meat/chicken or fish (usually salmon) + vegetables.

Name or Screenname/Age: RockyMtnMom/41

Current Situation (H? Kids and ages?): DH is also 41; children are: DS1 8.5; DD 6.5 and DS2 14.5 months.

Do you work or stay home? If you work, what do you? I am a SAHM.

Do you have a third? Want a third? On the fence? I have 3 children and would definitely consider a fourth if I were younger and if my DH didn't work as much as he does.

What is your biggest fear about a third? (or if you have one, what's a con?): While I don't see any cons to having a third child (I truly LOVE it!), managing the needs of your older children and those of an infant was challenging at times, but now that my youngest is already 14 months, I see that getting easier already and think that it will only get easier from here :-)

What is your biggest hope about a third (or if you have one, what's the best part?): As others have said, the best part if seeing all three of them together, enjoying each other, laughing together, my two older children loving on their younger brother and teaching him things. Not to sound too cheesy, but it melts my heart.

Plans for the summer? A lot of outdoor fun with family and friends. We go to visit my Mom who lives in a beach town for 3 weeks each summer, so we really enjoy that time there being "tourists" then we come back home, have swimming and baseball, BBQs, etc. and just relax.

What do you like to do with your family? We love to go places together (zoo, beach (when on vacation), amusement parks, take walks, play outside) as well as just be together at home as a family.

What do you like to do with free time? As others have said, I don't have a lot of free time right now with a little one, but I do enjoy reading and the occasional night out with my DH or my girlfriends.

Favorite easy weeknight dinner? My husband is out of town a lot for work and my kids LOVE oatmeal, SO.... when he is out of town, I will sometimes just make quick oatmeal. I use the healthier plain oats and add milk, honey and cinnamon. I serve it with fresh fruit, toast and milk and everyone is happy and full! I also love easy crock pot meals where I can put it in early in the day and just dish it up when we're ready to eat!

34 1/2, H is the same age, DS 8 1/2, DD 5 1/2, DS 15 months

SAHM, I teach one morning a week

Having three is all that I hoped it would be, and sometimes as hard as I thought it might be!

Hard parts: managing the very different needs of my children (like toting a fussy 1 year-old to my oldest's orthodontist appt. yesterday), less dates (because it is alot of effort to get out), tighter budget (because I probably won't work full time for a long time), missing out on big kid events (again, a fussy one year-old can't stay out late), a VERY loud mini-van!!! Many of these challenges will get easier as our youngest gets older, and I try to remember that.

Best parts: adorable baby laughs, my 3 kids playing together, toddler snuggles, first words are celebrated by older siblings, my children are learning patience and being flexible, full dinner table, instant play mates, experiencing the baby stage one more time.

Summer plans: camping with extended family, day trips, beach, swim lessons/team, being outside!

Favorite things to do with my family: day trips, beach, movie nights, visit extended family, vacation, hanging out at home

Free time: I don't have much! :-) drink coffee in the morning alone, scrapbook, walk/hike, quiet time, mani/pedi, TV at night with hubby

Easy dinner: cook frozen chicken breasts in any kind of salsa in the crock-pot all day, shred it up for tacos or chicken quesadillas

Name or Screenname/Age: Mom2A&J (but now it should read Mom2AJ&K), 36 years old

Current Situation (H? Kids and ages?):
Husband (and best friend!) - married for 9 years, DD1 6.5 yo, DS 4 yo, DD2 11 mo

Do you work or stay home? If you work, what do you?
I work full time as an ED Nurse and Educator

Do you have a third? Want a third? On the fence?
We went for a third 2 years ago, miscarried in May, got pregnant again in July and had a beautiful baby girl 11 months ago (yesterday).

What is your biggest fear about a third? (or if you have one, what's a con?):
I have to be honest, my third has been a dream child compared to the other 2 at that age. The biggest con I have noticed is that when we want to do fun things with the older 2 (skiing, amusement park, etc) we have to find someone else to watch the baby. Since we are outnumbered, one of us can't hold the baby while the other takes the older one off to do something. But we have found great things to do with all three (hiking, zoo, park, etc).

What is your biggest hope about a third (or if you have one, what's the best part?):
I absolutely love the relationships between my kids. My older 2 have basically always gotten along well (they even share a room). But now, I see not just the relationship between the 3, but the relationship between my DDs and my DS and DD2 individually. So far it has been all I have ever hoped for.

Plans for the summer?
Moving! We are moving from our military assignment in CO to a new assignment in MT. Good, because my in-laws are only 2 hours away and we will get to spend more time with them. Bad, because I love Colorado. It is where we want to retire when my husband is done in the military. We have some plans to take in Yellowstone and Glacier this summer.

What do you like to do with your family?
Hiking, movies, running with DD1, board games.

What do you like to do with free time?
Huh? What free time?? I do enjoy running and have started doing races - 5K, 10K and training for a Half Marathon, reading celebrity magazines (my guilty pleasure), shopping with the girls.

Favorite easy weeknight dinner?
Spaghetti, crock-pot Pot Roast (super easy), and my favorite last minute go-to meal = breakfast for dinner!!

Thanks! This was a fun idea!
