Had HUGE talk with Dh last night. Previously he indicated that he didn't want to be the guy who said that he didn't want a 3rd. However he's really happy with our two, he doesn't understand why I want 3 and he's terrified of history repeating itself (a whole other story from his childhood).

I realised last night with clarity that if I pursue this thing, I risk tearing my family and marriage apart. If we had a third, he'd love them but resent me. And my husband and darling kids are more important that the possibility of a 3rd, which I had some doubts about as well.

So that's it, decision made. And you know, it is good not to be sitting on the fence about it. Whilst is was an option, I was always trying to plan for it. Now that it isn't an option, I can mourn the babies I won't have but enjoy more fully the two I do have.

Best wishes to all of you and your journeys. xx waterbabe

Hey Waterbabe,

Just want to say good for you for being so rational and putting your current family first. I would never have a third if DH wasn't 100% on board so I totally understand where you're coming from. It just isn't something you should go into without support b/c I can definitely see how resentment could build, etc. if things don't go as planned. Enjoy your awesome family and it must feel good to not be on the fence anymore!

Best wishes!
